About Okareka Mistletoe Group

The Okareka Mistletoe Restoration Project is involved in weed control and revegetation of Lake Okareka marginal strip. Volunteers with an interest in native flora are needed to control weeds to help protect threatened native mistletoe species in Tikitapu Scenic Reserve and Lake Okareka marginal strip.Volunteers should have moderate fitness and be willing to undertake physical control of weeds. Working bees are held five times a year on Saturday mornings from 8:45am to midday (approximately).
