TECT All Terrain Park

Horse Riding

If you enjoy horse riding, you’ll love the facilities set up at the TECT All Terrain Park for your enjoyment by the Tauranga Equestrian Sports Association (TESA). TESA have developed and maintain the equestrian trails and facilities at the TECT All Terrain Park now open for club users and the general public.  These trails are located in the north western corner of the Park off Mangakopikopiko Road. There are park maps, toilets and carparking located at the Arrival Centre at the beginning of Whataroa Rd, just inside the entrance to the park and at the equestrian shelter, where there is also horsefloat parking. The park main gate is closed at night and opened in daylight hours only. Summer hours are from 7am to 9pm, including Labour Weekend to Easter. Winter hours are from 8am to 5pm.

The following equestrian facilities are currently operational in the park:

  • Horse pens in the gated parking area
  • Approximately 25km of horse trails are open to the public for horse riding or walking
